Distance Learning
Sycamore School provides powerful distance learning options for schools shifting to online learning. From within our interface, teachers can communicate with students in a variety of ways, share written and multimedia files, administer online tests, and manage grade books. Curriculum Manager
Sycamore School’s Curriculum Manager allows teachers to create and manage documents, lesson plans, and attach specific assignments and documents. Our built-in drop box feature allows students to submit their assignments online, as well as take online tests.
Pathwright Microlearning for Distance Learning
Sycamore School customers can sign up for microlearning courses from right within their school’s dashboard. The course on distance learning will be especially helpful to teachers and administrators as they transition to online learning models.
Google Integration
As a Google Cloud partner, Sycamore School makes it possible for your school to seamlessly sync information and data in real time between our robust school management system and your Google applications. Key features include the ability to create, edit, and share documents, create classrooms, distribute assignments, manage grade books, sync assignments, and much more.
Other Resources Available for Schools Moving to Distance Learning Due to COVID-19
Google is also helping schools stay connected remotely with their recent roll out of free access to their advanced Hangouts Meet video-conferencing capabilities to all G Suite customers through July 1, 2020. You’ll be able to video chat with up to 250 participants, share your screen for presentations and lessons, and even record sessions and save them to Google Drive. Zoom. The popular video conferencing platform, Zoom, is providing free services for K-12 schools that need video conferencing tools for Distance Learning. The company has temporarily lifted the 40-minute limit on free Basic accounts for schools affected by the Coronavirus. Teachers and students can use the K-12 School Verification Form to set up their free Basic account.
Adobe. Adobe is providing free Creative Cloud tools through May 31, 2020. These desktop apps can help facilitate distance learning and make it possible to keep coursework and student progress on track for students and educators.
